Traveling with family (2 adults and 2 kids). Screwed up reservation first night and we all had to sleep in a king bed in the west wing. Very nice rooms in the west wing though hallways are very dark. Great stay if it's just 2 people. Very contemporary. TV in bathroom mirror. Very nice, but small. Front desk line was always very long. We had to get moved the next day and had to stand in line again. That was inconvenient as we had a convention to attend during the day. After moved in, very nice. Like someone else said, get above the 8th floor for a good view. If you don't like the crowds, go to the pool before 11 a.m. or you'll be standing and not swimming. Even the lazy river was jam packed by 1:00 in the afternoon. Don't try to bring your own tube or they will confiscate it. Rental is expensive. All in all a nice place to stay. Every day the lions were different too. One day there were cubs.

My Fiance and I travel often and we've been to Las Vegas quite a few times. This last time, we decided to stay at the infamous MGM Grand Hotel and Casino and we regret it very much. Not only was the hotel run down and congested but 2 of the 4 days that we were there, our room had no water *not in the sink, toilet or shower. The other two days, we had water but it took the shower about 12-15 minutes to get hot water running with very low water pressure. The walls are so thin that we woke up every time someone walk and talk or make a noise outside of our room. To top all of that off, we found genital hairs on the bed cover the first day we walked in there.

We stayed in MGM on 4th July weekend. I stayed in couple other places in Vegas but I liked MGM most of all. Only thing I cam critique on is they need to do better job with Bathrooms, it was clean but need better shower handle and curtain.

My friends and I recently stayed for a girls weekend getaway. We had problems from the beginning. It took a long time to check in only to come to a hotel room that smelled of strong cigarettes even though we had requested non-smoking rooms. After bringing our concern to the front desk, we were relocated to a different room only to have the same problem yet again. With a third room change came red carpet stains evident all over the floor that looked like a crime scene investigation. As well, the showers and lights were not working. Throughout the whole process of changing rooms, the mangaers were extremely rude and condescending. As well, there were several other guests w/ similar complaints. Finally, after 2 and a half hours and 3 room changes, were upgraded to a suite. Upon our checkout, there was a mysterious $952 bill. We had earned $250 in credits to use at the hotel that somehow was not credited to our account. The remaining balance was for a "late fee checkout charge" that was granted to us once we had requested free of charge. This late fee checkout charge was also conflicted with a charge that had us staying for an additional night. After several managers, they refused to print a bill stating we would not be charged due to a new computer systems change that day. Overall, extremely rude customer service. I don't think I have ever dealt with such poor customer service. There were only about 2 decent representatives. I would NEVER stay here again and I would highly recommend you stay somewhere else besides the MGM Grand.
