Never Again
07/20/2010We were on the 9th floor of the luxor. the a/c did not blow. no a/c on in the hall ways. hot...toe nail clippings on the floor ...
We were on the 9th floor of the Luxor. The A/C did not blow. No A/c on in the hall ways. Hot...Toe nail clippings on the floor from the people previously there. Gross. No towels in the room. Called for house keeping. No one came. Then 20 mins after I called I opened up the door where there was a maid cleaning the room next room and asked for a towel. She told me NO. No towels today was her Monday and if there were no towels that is not her fault. No towels for us??? Then I bent down to get one off of her cart and she threw one at me and told me you get only one today. No more.... WOW... Called the front desk to complain. I have to say I will not be going back to the Luxor. Not impressed at all.

The Luxor has gone down hill pretty badly. Not only was it impossible to get extra towels to the room but the view of the interior pyramid consisted of underwear and garbage tossed on top of the pseudo buildings bellow, very poor maintenance . Worst was the smell. We complained repeatedly of the horrid smell in the vending area near the elevators. The only thing we could relate it to was rotting corpse and it lasted the entire time we were there. Waist of money

The hotel itself is nice, but the rooms are very basic. There are no coffee makers, refridgerators, or safes n the rooms. The blow dryer kept over-heating every 2 minutes so if you're a girl...bring your own! There are no tubs, just showers so shaving isn't much fun. The pool is nice. The only thing that I didn't like was there weren't seats around the whole edge inside the pool. Vegas is so hot that it's so much better to sit in the pool. Inside the hotel and the casino were very nice. It was very convenient to have shows and museums right inside. Also....the shuttle buses that travelocity offeres are NOT WORTH IT!!!!! Graylines is completely inconvenient! It's cheaper or easier to just take a cab!!

07/03/2010The hotel was extremely smokey. half of the pools were shut down. the hotel itself was not very clean. it look tattered and torn.
