Stayed 7/19 - 7/23/10. Our room was clean, as was the bathroom. The A/C worked really well. However I do have several complaints. Number one is that the elevators were very, very slow. We were in Tower I and only 2 of the 3 elevators were working. We would stand 10 - 15 minutes waiting on an elevator we could board. The elevator waiting area was very small and I dreaded catching the elevalors as there were so many people, some with luggage. Secondly, the pool had very odd hours. It opened at 9am and closed at 7pm. How weird is that? I was there with 3 of my grandchildren (who by the way choose the hotel for this stay) and they love swimming. In order to get some pool time in we had to cut short our sightseeing which I was not happy with. Next I was charged $* resort fee. I am still wondering why. I did not bring my laptop on this trip and never got a paper at my room door and I did not use the exercise room, so that was money that they got for nothing. Lastly the entrance to the hotel. If you are coming down Las Vegas Blvd heading north, there is no entrance to the hotel. I had to make a scary U-turn at Tropicana Blvd in order to get to the Valet Parking for the hotel. Upon check-in I waited in the valet park line 25 minutes before they took the keys to my car so that I could check-in. I would not stay here again, and I'm sure my grandchildren don't to stay here again either.

This hotel was recommended by a cop in Vegas that assured me it was safe, which it was. It was a great place to sleep...like being on a cloud. The room was very spacious. The people at the front desk and bell service were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is easy to navigate. There is a bus stop there at the hotel which makes it easy to travel up and down the strip. The dinner and show was very entertaining and worth the money. We highly recommend at least one day of buffet pass. It was soooo good! I don't even like eggs and had 3 helpings! We are planning a trip again next year and already know where we are staying!

  • Have a family...DON'T STAY HERE!!!

Our room was terrible. They knew we had kids, yet all we had was a shower. The shower didn't drain and the water barely came out of the shower head. The air conditioner sounded like a car with a bad exhaust was parked in our room all night and it barely blew out cold air. Not enough to cool the room. It looks like the hotel is kid friendly, but the arcade was way over priced! You would think if you are spending a lot on the room, gambling and food that they could cut you some slack when spending money on the kids. They also charged for internet usuage, fitness usage, telephone usage and a "FREE" newspaper. How is it free if they just charged you. And when we told them we didn't need any of this, they said too bad, we charge you anyway. They told us that our own internet wouldn't work...it did. The only good thing about the location is that it is next door to New York New York. Spend a little more and stay further North on the strip, even if it is just next door at NYNY.

  • Excalibur fine, clean, no fridge or microwave!

The hotel was fine, the arcade and spongebob ride were a real hit with my kids, the casino seemed more smokey smelling than others we walked through. My big complaint was that I've not been in a room ever, that didn't have a refridgerator and microwave! They would have brought a fridge for $* a night! No microwaves, not even one down by the ice machine. This was terrible for us, although I guess it's standard in Las Vegas economy rooms. I just didn't know, would like it to be well communicated for those of us on a budget. Also there was an extra $* a night "hotel charge" when we checked in that was disconcerting.
