My recent stay @ the Rio Casino Hotel was marred with disturbing announcements for 2 nights in my 3 day stay . They were recorded fire alarm announcements followed by electronic voice apologies for false alarms ( 3 to 4 times). I understand that this is a good thing because the system works. However, if it comes on again the next day,it is not good . The management blames the events on some guest . The management suspects that a hotel guest may have set the alarms by smoking in the elevator or the hallway. Rio should have taken the 1st event seriously and investigated the matter thoroughly. What is good having " signature suites " when you are bombarded with glaring announcements in the wee hours of the morning. I suggest that the apology should be announced by a live human voice one time only after the 3 to 4 false announcements ( it is easier in your ears ) . This way I am more convinced that they were serious in correcting the problem than what seems like a system problem with their alarm. Rio is a good hotel to stay except for that alarm problem.

Great Trip! What a wonderful experience at the Rio! The bed was the only issue and it was minor since we were hardly in it. It was a little old and could be replaced soon! The world series of poker 2010 was going on while we were at the Rio and the place was just a world of excitement! We saw all the top name pros playing poker and got pictures and autographs. The wsop area is away from the gaming floor so if you are trying to avoid it that won't be an issue. Great food at all the spots in the Rio. The Carnaval World buffet was the best buffet I have ever eaten. The 24 hour buffet pass can not be beat. $* for 24 hours of buffets at 7 different locations around Vegas with unlimited access! Take the free shuttle from the Rio to either Harrah's or Bally's on the strip and you save on the cab. The 24 hour bus pass on the strip is a good deal too. Pawn Stars is on the north end of the strip and has a stop on the bus route.

I liked the whole hotel and casino. The pool area was wonderful, the casino was fun, and the buffet was really great deal. No matter what meal you ate, you were offered more than your money's worth. I would book this hotel again..

The rooms were very big and I thought the beds were very relaxing. The entire hotel was clean and the buffet meal deal was great on the wallet. I will stay here when I return next year for another girls only weekend.
